Jatiluhur Dam

Jatiluhur Dam is an old dam in Indonesia. It is located in Jatilihur District, in Purwakarta Regent (+/- 9 kms from Purwakarta city). It is a biggest dam in Indonesia. The dam was named Ir H Juanda dam by the government. It has beautiful panorama with 8.300 hectares width. This dam was developed in 1957 by a contractor from French. It has 12.9 billion meter cubic water  per year and it is a multiple function dam in Indonesia.

 
In the dam there are 6 units of turbine with 187 MW per unit and can produce electricity 1.000 million kwh per year. It is managed by Electricity State Company (PLN). The other function of this dam can also irrigate 242.000 hectares of land, standart drinking water, fishery and flood control  which is managed by Jasa Trita II Company.

Along the dam there are also many tourism resorts like hotel and bungalow, bar and restaurant. There are also tennis court, billiard center, camping area, swimming pool with water slide, meeting room, and other water sport activities.

It is really a multiple functions dam.
