Ondel-ondel is one of Betawi Traditional Culture. Previous years ago it was very rare for Jakartans to see Ondel-ondel. However, currently Ondel-ondel is very famous and is often played by the children in Jakarta.
The children usually work in group. Some of them play the trumpet, violin, and gendang, and some inside the ondel-ondel to get the ondel-ondel walk.
This morning when I was driving around, I saw a group of people. They would like to have happy walk competition. The people with their families walk together relaxely and fun. What an amazing one was, they also put ondel-ondel to join the competition. It's very creative work!
This month, June, is the celebration of Jakarta Birthday. Usually in Jakarta Fair Buiding there is a festival for a month. People all over Indonesia can come and see to this festival.
