make a modern shopping center with good but cheap price. The idea was from President Soekarno after visiting some countries who had already owned modern shopping center.
Right now Sarinah is still a favorite place for people to gather together. There are many restaurants for gathering there. There are also food court for more people and some offices.

Activities in this building between day time and night time are a little bit different. At noon there are many people go shopping and eating. Meanwhile in the evening and night time there is an additional activity namely music time (because many young people go to the bar there)
