A grand dance drama to be staged at Borobudur

The management of Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko temples in Central Java will stage a lavish dance drama entitled Mahakarya Borobudur to attract more tourists.

The dance drama will involve hundreds of dancers and will be organized together with the Indonesian Art Institute in Surakarta, Central Java.

The performance itself will be held at the Aksobya open stage at the Borobudur temple, which has a capacity of 800 seats, on May 2, June 12, July 24 and August 14

Ticket prices range from Rp 150,000 (about US$15) to Rp 850,000.
